You can do a temporary / permanent fix with a tie-wrap. That's what I did mine with, and it works perfectly. One day I'll save up and buy a clip.

Hi John

Sadly I did not have a spare tie wrap. I had a big box but I left them in Angola.
Anyway I've put it back together and ordered the clips etc. They are being posted to me and should arrive on Friday.

Did you ever work In Kazakhstan?
I knew a John Ward there.

Last time I bought them it was about 70p for the plastic clip and the metal circlip, including postage. You did pull the fuse for the glovebox light before removing the liner, didn't you? You will short it if not.
