Just to let you know I've had the power steering pump checked over and it is leaking again. New pump again then. The route of the problem seems to lie in that these are reconditioned units. I think someone mentioned they had a couple of pumps before they managed to find one that was ok.
So, when the new pump is fitted, I will have to hold my breath that this one is ok.

Ben, it isn't difficult to recon pumps & they shouldn't leak when done. I've done a few in the past with no problem, the seal set isn't expensive. It shouldn't be a lottery to get a decent one.
