The hub caps are also original. I assume they're anodised as they have the same finish as the wheels.

Porsche UK sold the limited edition silver rose cars as 944 Turbo SEs. About 70 out of a run of 1,000 came to the UK with this spec. This is what appears on the original bill of sale for the car which I have. However I think they were known by the factory as Turbo S.

I'm not sure what name Porsche UK gave to the later 250 bhp Turbos which didn't have the same standard specification.

Mike, you have a really great car there. I think the story goes that buyers of the Turbo S were a tad cheesed off when the standard 250bhp Turbo came out. Understandable considering they paid a 10% premium for the car. I think the Turbo S is still a bit special though and definitely worth holding onto, if the pic is anything to go by it looks in great nick.
