I've always had good service from Simon and Porsch-apart over the past 18 years and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. Sounds like a simple mix up this time and well done for the owner to post here to resolve :D

I on a number of occasions have had great service from Porsche a Part (now 9 A Part) without any real issues. They have been a great bunch of peeps to deal with.

Hi. i did not mean to slander anyone, tho the kit i bought, pictured above, did say oil cooler seal kit for the 944s2 and 968, the picture above was not on the advert, just a picture of a pack of seals.
as my oil cooler pipe seals were leaking, i assumed they would be in a oil seal kit, there was no note saying, 944 oil cooler seal kit but not containing 944s2 oil cooler seals!
So after a few hours work pulling it apart, then finding the seals i need were not in the seal kit, i was not happy, also then all the shops were shut, so an expensive day of work ( self employed) to source the correct seals, then fit monday night, in the dark by torch light.
And as i had to use ONE gasket, i can not return a part used, expensive kit.
I do believe your advert should say it is not for the external cooler as used on the s2 and 968, this would save any confusion in the future.
thanks stuart

I am assuming that this is the picture on the ebay listing
Image

everything you buy on ebay are just individual items for sale, you are not asking someone for an item and then they get it for you like in a shop.
Therefore we must have some idea what we are buying.
If you have identified the external oil cooler as being at fault, you would know what it looks like and ask what the hell that gasket was for .

Also I can see that Maybe the description could be for an Oil-Water Radiator as per it's PET description, however it does also mention thermostat which the external cooler doesn't have

I would also recommend that anyone ordering parts check on the parts Catalogue first. Porsche are very kind and publish their PET for public use.
Having the correct part number is great when trying to search and compare prices around the net

I've found 9 apart friendly to deal with. Had a mistake on my last order, but they did their best to sort it out, which is what matters in my book. I would be pissed off though if I was in the same position and didn't have items in the pack that I needed.

Well i have used them in the past many times, but this has put me right of using them again, they are supposed to be the experts, the item i bought was miss sold as it just does not contain the parts it says!
If this is how it deals with an unhappy customer i will not have a problem leaving negative feedback, and using some other supplier in the future, but i guess you can not please all of the people, all of the time!

I was surprised. It was ill-thought out, at the very best.

I'm sorry, but you can tell from the picture that there are no external oil cooler seals. As there would be more 0 rings in the kit.

The 0 rings are available at £1.81 each part number 900.123.011.30

The kit you bought was for if your removing the housing, you need all those seals.
If your just sorting the external cooler pipes, then you just need the 0-rings.

We sell them separate, as there is no point in buying the whole kit for just the external oil cooler seals.

Like I said before, if you had any issues, or were not sure what you needed, a phone call would have sorted the problem.

Thanks

Rob

Maybe i am the odd one out then, but i will not be using them again, found them most unhelpfull at resolving my problem!
But the law of averages has to show its head sometime.

Like I said, If you had a problem, you should have called us, we would have sent you the correct parts for the next day, and you could have returned your items in as long as they had not been used.

Thanks
