They should be patient and keep looking out for a replacement ! After only owning my car for less than four months I have been able to find a very good second-hand one (less than 20 miles from home) - certainly far better than the one on the car. I shall swap them over and then have a go at stripping and repairing the original, with a view to getting it recovered professionally.
