I will try that later. It has new Beru leads, Bosch dizzy cap and rotor arm, plus new plugs. Only ingition parts not changed are the coil and the ignition module, which looks like an unbranded aftermarket one.

I found that the plastic cover on the coil was tracking down, on close inspection there was a hairline crack in the top part of the coil, cleaned it up scrapped out the crack filled it with superglue all good for now, but a new coil is on the shopping list

Can pick up a new Bosch coil for £45 so may just replace it anyway, won't do it any harm and the old one has probably been there since new.
