That's spooky Rhett - only yesterday did I put it all back together, and today I started her up!!
I have not found them

I have tried two endoscopes, but both can't get all the way to the sump due to the shape of the galleries. I have looked and looked with mirror, camera and torch around the head and cannot see them hiding anywhere, and due to the path of gravity, I am 95% certain they would have fell into the gallery directly below.
I managed to get a bendy pickup tool all the way down the gallery to the sump, but didn't catch anything!!
I have flushed and sieved the oil many times, but no luck.
If I removed the sump I would have also replaced the engine mounts, refurbed the PAS rack, replaced the steering shaft, and checked/replaced the wishbones, as well as general tidying, maybe even replace/check the big end shells - and this close to xmas I can't merit it.
Common sense says, if they are in the sump, as I'm 95% sure they are, the liklihood of them causing any bother is slim. So when I do decide to carry out the jobs mentioned above (early next year), then i will drop the sump at the same time and hopefully find them.
So I put it back together, filled with fresh oil and fired her up!! All is well so far, but to add insult to injury my clutch hydraulics have now decided to fail on me!! Oh well!
