What do you all think of the inner sill photo? I am going to spray it with waxoil in case that keeps the rot at bay. It's not visible from the outside.

A car is only worth what your willing to pay.

I thought i was getting a good deal on my 944. Turns out now it probably wasnt as good as first thought... but i still think a Porsche for less then £1,500 is a good buy. They will only go up in value. Im sitting next to a 1960's MGA, which at the time the bloke paid far too much for... 15 years later.. its now worth around £24,000... Better then having the money sat in the bank

I had to more or less give mine away 2 years ago for £750 ! Had little or no interest!?
It was generally in good tidy nick in red and looked smart. Had black red pinstripe leather interior.
I think others are right, in the state that's in £300 max.

But at the end of the day it's weather your're happy that counts.

Had a look at the car with Alex today.....whilst it is cosmetically challenged, it's not as bad as I expected and a great project car. With a fair bit of elbow grease and a little money, this will again be a good car well worth the effort to save from the breakers!

....and I still think it looks gold to me Alex.......even if it is zermet? silver :D

With those words, you have further increased my motivation!

You have also convinced me that it is definitely less silver than I thought.

So have you decided if you will just keep it for a short while and maybe an adventure, or long term and several adventures?

Well Jon.... time will tell! Obviously I need to repair everything that needs repairing first, then see what adventure plans you have in mind, have fun, and choose what to do with it after that. Money could be a factor! I'm already feeling guilty that the 944 might not get much attention now - but then again, everything on it works, and can be driven.
