If the price was a fair bit lower I'd do the same, but would definitely have a discharge pipe.

They do indeed make a discharge pipe now. I think it's a recent edition though and at the same sort of price as the Fabspeed one.

Oooh about bloody time! Might have to buy one of those, even just to evaluate it on the dyno versus standard and the fabspeed version.

If there were a reasonable amount of people interested in a Fabspeed (5 to 10), I would be happy to talk to Fabspeed about a group buy

And for a group buy, I would be after at least one of them, maybe two, so if there are 3 other people interested, I would be happy to put it together.

I might start some investigations into pricing for 5 of and 10 of.

Hi All,

I would be interested in a system, but first would like to see what kind of a discount a group buy would bring.

I have just been looking at the fabspeed site, and correct me if I am wrong but price of full system with turbo pipe comes in at $1195.00 (minus filter , DME chip etc)

Is it necessary to have the bmc filter, dme chip and does a 1989 car need a cat bypass (sorry I have no idea if I have a cat on my 944 turbo)

Will wait to see costs and hopefully we can firm up an order.

thanks

Also interested in a full Fabpeed system, and have a mate who'd probably want one as well...

I must be looking at the wrong bit, I saw $895 for the rear section, $695 for the centre section and $300 for the dischrage pipe, so $1890 for the lot or $1895 in a kit with a BMC filter.

Would by pass cat, as that's where the gains are made. Not much point with a cat.

If the exhust is the only power mod your doing then your want the chips.

When I had my decat pipe made by H&S I showed them a picutre of the Fabspeed system they said it was something that they could replicate, maybe they would do you a group buy also, it would save on the import fee's at least.

possibly +1 for me Jon as I believe the next mod that Simon suggested on his build would have been a new exhaust system.
Not sure if he wanted one just for the noise or breathability. This current one runs in Stealth Mode only  .

The Hayward and Scott offering comes to £1170 inc vat for the whole system including the 3" turbo discharge pipe.

Their standard offering actually drops to a 2.5" pipe for the rear section which they believe is suitable for a 2.5L car because the gases have cooled and contracted by then. Because they fabricate everything themselves they can make the rear pipe in 3" should you wish and stick in an extra silencer if you are worried about noise

Does anyone know someone at H&S and could ask if they could do us a deal on a few 3" systems?
