Not meaning to thread jack Carrera RSR but after seeing your OP I decided to go for something very similar from DIBED in Poland - used the "Make an Offer" for the amount in the advert as opposed to the list price and it was accepted. That made them pretty reasonable and about the same price as a pait of the rubber mounts from Porsche parts dealers!

The quality looks good, CNC machine work is as good as I would have expected. They don't appear to be anodised but to be sure I'm taking them to a local-ish place in the week to have them done if they haven't been already.

Those are the exact same ones that turned up on my door step. My car is still in paint so not had a chance to offer up for size yet

Steve fitted his, I believe. I remember him telling me that he hadnt bothered to have them anodised in the end and had just fitted them as they were.

Yep, been on since April time. I used some Duralac on the mating faces to avoid corrosion but the rest raw ally. Still looking good after 4500 miles

Thread revival! The original mounts on my 944t have just given up and are clonking like mad, so an upgrade to these makes sense as setting the camber at the hub is a PITA.

So what are people's thoughts on these mounts now? There seems to be a few more alternatives on eBay too...

Any input would be appreciated, ta!

I've just been looking at these too

The ones Steve has and the Gaz ones are both £180

I'm just about to have Gaz coilovers fitted all round and may well go for the same ones as Steve

What are these like on a road car?

I would have thought there would be too harsh and the bearings would die fairly quickly due to our glorious pot holed roads?

Mine is a road car having fittedthem a year ago last May there's no play or bearing issues. If you want absolute rubberised comfort then stick to stock mounts. I can't comment on harshness as the car is fully polybushed, coil overs, track day tyres, no sound deadening with roll cage. Hasn't stopped me racking up 12,000 miles since fitting

The steering won't feel quite right, with a sort of inconsistency in the way it loads up in a corner, as the movement at the top of the strut changes the geometry slightly and obviously puts it off. You can feel cambers in the road load up the steering too, it just won't feel 'right'. Mine have been fine until recently, but on my first lap of Curborough at a trackday this week the steering started to clonk from the front offside corner, which I thought was odd as my arms, castor mounts and TRE's are all new. Upon checking the car in the pits we found some play in the top mount, so my driving has obviously killed them off quite quickly! The steering has felt quite right since I pulled the car out of hibernation, but I did have a dead TRE so I initially put it down to this...

I've had top mounts go on other cars (in particular mk2 golfs) and it makes a huge difference to the steering feel when they're buggered.

Thanks for the feedback on these, I'm going to strip the stuts off the car tomorrow and have a good poke around so I'll decide whether to order some then.
