The one & only 944 crankshaft nut I've done was Matts 944. Matt is a big lad e.g. 16-18st & we ended up with him, on a 5ft scaffolding pole & even then it went with a bloody big bang. It is probably one of the tightest pulley nuts I've ever been involved with. Not sure a windy gun will touch it.

Hi,
I went round the houses on this one a while back, basically if don't have the proper flywheel lock its virtually impossible. The starter motor option worked like a charm. I was a bit suspicious to begin with but it needs barely a nudge of the starter to break the nut loose.

It should "only" be 210Nm or about half the rear hub nut torque but they dont feel like it usually!
