All sorted out now Al??

Nope! Mark sent me another crankshaft rotary seal as I realised I must have goofed the first one trying to remove and re-align the oil pump drive sleeve. This will arrive on Monday. Every finger and toe crossed that everything else that worked beforehand, still works now.

Front Konis now in and temp. puncture repair nsf. Next stop geo check, new front tyres and fit Becker Traffic Pro.
No noticeable difference in ride comfort but less roll on corners and no squeal from front tyres. The impact wrench was a must for top nut removal but manged to torque up normally. Just needed to drop front arb half an inch with compressors on springs and it all lined up. Just finished in time to see Wiggo win Tour de France.

Changed over my porsche script/vinyl sports seats for full leather sports seats and matching vinyl back seats. Not often a good sports interior in burgundy comes up! Had much fun playing with the seat motors and switches to get them working properly, clearly been laid up for a while and also had a faulty switch. All good now. Went for a drive and decided I preferred the old seats! Aesthetically though the new ones are nicer and I'm sure I'll get used to sliding about on the leather after a while! Also much easier to keep clean. :D

Got mine started for the first time in three months. Been sidelined while house was being renovated. Back at home now and needs work for the MOT. Trying to decide if I've missed the summer  .

Seems I'm always painting my car

Just replaced the front wing (shown below) after a 10 ton skip lorry caught it whilst reversing round a corner. Dented the wing, scuffed the bumper and both front wheels (the offside was parked next to the kerb and the lorry dragged it sideways enough to kiss it).

The skip company paid up in full and a new Porsche wing is now fitted and painted along with the bumper and both wheels so I'm a happy bunny again. The dented wing was actually brand new from Porsche last February when I had the car resprayed - doh!

I hope the colour macth is perfect 4 you. Sort off luck I get. But without the compension

I had 2 tell a parcal force van yesterday that he was reversing 2 another parked car. Seems he was trying 2 get in 2 the spot 2 do a delivery. The rear off the van had a loading bumper which he was scraping up and down the bumper off the parked car, then backed in 2 it with it. I shouted across the road at him, what he was doing. "Ow dose it need a new bumper?"
" Not sure but deff taken paint off " I replied and with that he just drove off!!

I hope you left his reg number and your contact details for the owner. At least then they stand a chance of getting their bumper fixed and the git in the van doesn't get away with it.

Washed it last night and reminded myself of all the little jobs. Tyres a little dodgy, rear brakes pipes and temperature sensor to replace for MOT.
Rear hatch leaks etc, etc.

Hibernation may last all year as house is taking precedence (and all the money)

Finished the flex plate job by topping up the transmission :D no more crawling under my car :D :D Bled my brakes after replacing the rubber brake hoses with braided and rebuilt the once seized callipers so full of air :!: using the easy bleed kit connected to my tyre to blow oil through the system made it easy work.
Replaced a worn ball joint and put the wheels back on then finally got it back on the ground and drove it :D just up and down the drive a few times it's been months and I've not yet driven the car properly still after 8 months of ownership.
MOT next

Installed DPW and new manual boost controller. There had been a bleed valve working in conjunction with the original wastegate up until now. Boost was happily peaking at 18psi but falling to about 12psi at 6k revs. Now it zips up to 18psi in 3rd/4th/5th and happily stays there until I lift. :D

ha...took the head off....looks like its been rebuilt at some point....no 4 and no1 210 on compression,175 180 on three and two, gasket had gone through between the bores(rusty),no carbon build up on valves or pistons, suspect it had a water leak at some time as it had very little antifreeze, head gone off to be faced and pressure tested, valve seats will be checked too,.....block out tomorrow....

Today, the 5 days preceding, and the 2 days following, I DROVE MY 944, all the way from Sussex to Cornwall and around Devon, and all I had to was remember to put petrol in it!
