£160 for all those parts, that seems very reasonable to me!

I know what you mean, my MK1 Golf resto (whilst going very slowly!) has the same issue, you replace one part and then the one next to it looks old so most of it will be new - when I actually get around to bolting it all together, need to finish welding first!

Looks absolutely stunning! Well done with the renovation / change (rather than restoration as I know it wasn't bad at all to begin with!).

Being very picky, what kind of radio is that? Looks very modern - maybe a subtle Becker unit would be more in keeping with the car.

Yes it is modern but it is one of the best (IMHO) head units and was developed with Ipod so has exactly the menu control as an IPOD ..No CD just radio and Ipod/ phone made by ALPINE!

I did consider the becker (porsche) retro satnav unit looked good but lacked the features I really wanted

That looks fantastic. I've just ripped my whole interior out to change the colour to black and remove a bit of sound deadening. I might have to order a few bits of new trim too after breaking a few tabs of the old ones, but I can't see it ending up quite as impressive as that.

I must say that I really like the all black interior - very neat.

Also +1 for Alpine head units.

That interior looks REALLY nice. I always liked my Porsche cloth interior (just to remind my passengers that they are in fact sat in a Porsche), but that interior definitely tops mine. I usually like to keep everything stock, but that suits the car to a T. Nice one!

Dave.

Thanks for the nice comments :D

It's allways hard to modify/improve a car, do modifications increase or decrease the cars value? :?

Depends enitrely on the person buying it, but generally for resale I was told by someone in the performance car parts business that you want to keep things as stock a possible for a car of this age, since that is what the majority of people want when buying this type of car. But then again a tasteful mod like that would help your car stand out from the others and it does look pretty stock because they are the same shape as the original seats, not like you have bolted in some sparkos or anything. Would definitely be a +1 if I were looking to buy the car. :)

Dave.

Also where did you get your storage cover located just below the ash tray? Mine is a mottled plastic one, but your leather faced style one looks much nicer, do you know how much it was?

Cheers,

Dave.
