Thanks Darryl, when I viewed the car I almost decided it was too good to track, but they should be used for enjoyment and not mothballed.

Hello, I've been reading the board for a while but haven't been posting. I'm on a few other forums and have recognised a few car sand usernames from them over here. I'm in Auckland, New Zealand. I've had a '78 924 auto, '80 924 Turbo with CGT kit (imported from the UK in 1989). My current car is a 1986 944. The VIN shows it was destined for South Africa but it ended up being sold by Porsche here in NZ in 1988. I'm the 3rd owner, having bought it at approx 112,000km. The second owner only put 60,000 km on it in 9 yrs but i use it as a daily driver. I've had it for nearly 6 yrs now and it's still going strong but needs a bit of a freshen up.

It is crystal green metallic and has no sunroof. It wears 911 fuchs, 16x7 and 16 x 8's; a CGTS replica front from AIR in the US and has a set of can can red sports seats that I picked up secondhand that I'll eventually recover in black. I have a few other updates and fixes from only944, rennbay, etc, interior parts from a '94 968 6-spd parts car I have, and turbo swaybars (ARBs).

While I'm here can anyone vouch for these guys? I'd like to recover my dash. I went though 7 pages of feedback and saw no one that had bought anything for a 944.

but I do hate pics of cars with bloody palm trees in them, I just want to be there...

as for the dash cover not had to go that far but the gear gaiters are good quality having fitted one to my car

I really liked that 968 but I had very little choice but to break it. It was a LHD import from Japan and it couldn't be complied for NZ roads. I couldn't afford to race it so I'm parting it to put the whole drivetrain into my 944. One day.

A more recent pic, I did post here a few years back but car has just returned from new wing bottoms, rust repair around the windscreen and rear wheelarch bottoms and a full mechanical polish.

Hello from the US. These are my cars. The red one is a 1984, purchased in 2010 from the original purchaser with 22, 000 miles on the clock First place in it's class at the Maryland, Virginia, DC area Deutsche Marque Concour d'Elegance 2014. Mileage has now crept up to 25,000 miles The Stone Gray one is a 1989 S2 with 81,000 miles.
