thank for the comments, i agree red is the fastest colour!

Ah, common misconception. Beige provides the driver with an edge in the twisty bits, and combined with a travel sweet can result in more useable real-world performance. Red makes the car Robert Palmer at high revs, sadly.

You need a beige stripe to attain killer velocity...

My four-penny worth on the fastest colour debate.. :D

SR-71 Blackbird - Black
Space shuttle - White
Saturn V - White
Helios probe - Metallic silver! (this achieved speeds of 150,000 MPH)

So, unfortunately red is not used to make stuff faster

Red looks darn cool though... 8)

(all above with tongue in cheek!)

Back to the thread - Carrera RSR - Your car is simply superb!

Frankfurt taxi = beige.

Utterly agree though about RSRs 924. It is a beautiful and purposeful thing. I covet it gently.

Am so bought in on early front ends... S2/Turbo has a fine snout but I'm hooked on the look of an early 944 or 924.

I made this have Fuchs...

...it was a bit of a discovery to learn that the Cookies had spacers on the back... had to decamp with wheels to Broady's for a swift go on his copper drift... night fell, time passed, we sang about gold.

Car is now filthy, thanks to all of the rain today, and this is definitely a contender for "grainiest picture of 2013"... but I am very delighted with the results. Still a zillion things to fix / sort / clean / upgrade / repair / fettle / worry about... but at least the wheels look pretty sweet.

Earlier in the week I decided to mend the mercury switch on the bonnet lamp and sort the front lenses out...

Hi folks I am new here and although I have liked the 944 for some time what persuaded me was my daughter racing a 924 in the BRSCC championship and getting her first win and lots of podiums. I watched her lap Brands in 58sec in a 130 bhp car and was very impressed.
This year she is the Boxster prod champ so I had to buy a Porsche.
It came with a terrible fault of not starting sometimes and I traced that to an imobiliser that was wired in with just a twist of the wires covered in tape  After some soldering its a goodun and I love it.
Oh here it is.
