When it is all sorted and you get the car back, make sure to get a spare relay as they only seem to last a few years and will totally disable the car when they die. Cost under £20 from a Porsche Centre and fit in the gloebox nicely

Thanks Paul. My fingers are crossed that that's what it is, and I will certainly take your advice and get hold of a spare.

It says not Turbo so I would think that means that they won't fit Pennys S, same hubs/brakes as a Turbo

Thanks to everyone for the advice - eventually got my baby back on Friday afternoon, filthy dirty and smelling like a garage inside - they reckoned that the new petrol pump they had fitted was faulty. We suspect that it was in fact the relay that was at fault and that they have replaced it without saying anything or charging us for it!
