I know this is not what you want to hear but I've had limited success with s/h rads in the past. They've always leaked in the end.

Buy a new one. Try JMGhttp://www.jmgshop.com/
They are pledged to beat Euro car parts by at least 10% & often do free carriage. But £250 sounds about right. Mine was £200 five years ago!

For the clutch slave Promax were cheaper than everyone else by quite a margin. http://www.promaxmotorsport.co.uk/searc ... s=radiator
Just checked £248 + VAT

Thats £225 + vat & free carriage from JMG then which is still cheaper than Promax? Don't get that Jim. Been using JMG for parts for the last three years mainly due to the customer service. You may find cheaper but when I did the parts were rubbish & had to go back for refund.

Try ringing a local radiator specialist and get a quote to have the rad re-cored

Sorry badly worded, fingers beat brain.
For the clutch slave I ordered Promax cheaper than JM & when I checked the same applied to the master (after I had ordered the Bl00dy thing  )
I checked the rad price from Promax as I wrote the message.
As for customer service lets just say the order from Promax was much easier than JM. And I've experienced that before.

Must be that I've spent so much with them they look after me now! Parts are always top quality & fit! More than can be said for some of the other Porsche specialists out there!

Glad you got a result S2Sam! :)

Just to add to this the Promax slave arrived the other day, genuine ATE box & contents. Guess what? The markings on the slave are identical to the old 'un that is in there :( Was it a bad one?

Order all my parts from Promax as well, generally the lowest cost, more often than not genuine OEM parts and their service and support cannot be compared to a lot of other suppliers/specialists.

I like the fact you dont have to listen to "stories" on how bad everyone else is and how others sell low quality parts when you talk to them. Its sad to think some people get taken in by this.
