Hi
can anyone help me out...The ignition switch on my 1991 944 turbo is out of postion so I can not fit the rubber seal that finishes the ignition to the trim piece........I have removed the steering wheel and cluster it seems that the ignition is clamped onto the steering column but as far as I can see the bolts that hold it do not have a head!!!!! how do I undo the bolts or move the ignition..

Whilst the cluster was out I have noticed that some bulbs are missing are these required on may car?.... see photo's bellow

Bolts are shear bolts. Why they have no head. If you need to move it you have to drill out the old & fit new ones. Shine a torch into the missing holes & see what they are. Sometimes when things stop working people remove the bulbs. But some will probably not be needed on your car.

The bolts are shear bolts so no 'eads. They can normally be chased out with a centre punch and a hammer or cut a slot with a dremel & unscrew 'em. Get new ones because they won't survive this treatment. As for the cluster not sure.

Missing bulbs are normal ! Think about how the clocks would work 4 a left hand drive model. The cluster base is the same just PCB is on the other side.

The ignition switch, put the key in and gently force it in 2 the position u need, there is some play.
