Hi, can anybody recommend a supplier to buy a new pump from? The prices seem to vary so much. In this rare occasion Porscheshop are nearly £100 cheaper than OPC. The same bosch part.
Unless anybody has a good secondhand one......
Rich.

I have a good one from a 1993 968, same as most 944's I believe.

No idea what its worth, make me an offer if interested.

Rich, looking on both S2 and 968 there seems to be 2 different part numbers (the same parts for both cars) one ending 050 and the other 090. Looking at the pics eurocarparts have up they seem to look different. I think mines the 050 but I'll have to check when I get home.

How much are ECP wanting? That shop that does stuff for Porsche are £135 + vat correct?

All 944 and 968 now have the same Bosch pump

Eurocarparts are £143 Inc vat for Bosch and £70 for a no name jobbie.
There's a secondhand one on eBay for £20. Hmmm.

Don't forget to ask ECP for discount, they usually give at least 10%, and sometimes more.

Also GSF, ask them.

Ring JMG & quote the price you got from euro car parts. They will beat it by 10%. Tell Declan I said so! Postage will be free & if it doesn't work you won't have any hassle getting it replaced.
I wouldn't entertain a second hand one. Not the easiest thing to fit unless you have very small hands.

I've got it down to a fine art now J.J! My ones already off on the bench and I've had it off 4 or 5 times now. I thought it was a bad seal on the check valve but it's leaking out of one of the terminals. Must be cracked. Ok I'll give them a try. I've got to wait until pay day anyway. That is if I don't get the £20 one!

Thanks. It's £127 plus vat and postage. It's pretty much half the price OPC wanted. Strange I normally find them to be cheaper.
