Jon, my deepest sympathies to you and your family.

I now feel awful adding in my two penneths earlier in this thread and can only say my issues now pale into insignificance. Family always comes first in my view. I will give your business a second chance as I have heard many good reports prior and since my experience.

Very sorry to hear this news and I'm sure that all at JMG are going through a difficult time :(

Things like this are always the curse of any small or family run business and years of good reputation can be destroyed very quickly via the speed of the internet. I hope everything is back up to full Porsche speed as soon as possible :)

Dreadful news and it puts everything else into perspective, including running a business.
I sincerely hope things return to normal for you all.

PS You should have an email from me to the service@ address. Look forward to hearing from you.

I would just like to add my sincere condolences Jon, and must apologise for writing the original post under the circumstances. Please be assured that, had I been fully aware of the situation, I would not have done so.

Mark, Declan and Stephen all appreciate your kind words in the wake of the loss of their mother.

I and the rest of the staff here at JMG would also like to thank you all for your support and understanding regarding the loss of service during this difficult time, and would like to assure everyone we are back up to speed along with planned improvements to the business which will be happening over the comming weeks and months which should see the JMG reputation improving further. We would of course like to see you all returning to us in the future and benefitting from these improvements first hand.

Please do not feel bad for commenting on your experiences while we were running at reduced strength, none of you were to know the circumstances and have every right to mention any problems you may experience at any garage.

I openly encorage customers to report feedback as to their experiences at my garage, as it allows me to improve the business in reaction to issues I may not be aware of.

Julie will be missed and remembered well, both here at the business and everyone else that knew her. She would not wish anyone to grieve over her premature loss, so we take comfort that we need to move forward and upward as she would have wished.

Jon

Hi,

I've only just read this thread from start to end. What a sad and moving story. I want to wish you and the family all the best for the future. It certainly puts life into perspective.

Regards on behalf of Yorkshire Region,

Ben Rodrigues

Really Sad news having just returned from 3 weeks holiday and read these posts.
My Sincere condolences to JMG.

My experiences with JMG started in June 2006 and I would like to share them here.
Early in 2006 I decided to upgrade from a 944 S2 Cab and wanted a Good 944 Turbo. After attending a Technical Seminar hosted by Jon (& Simon) at the 2006 Tipec Show I was so impressed that I contacted Jon and asked for his help in sourcing "a Good one" Some 6 Months later I collected my Turbo from Bournemouth. NO Regrets.
I too travel a fair way, Lincoln to Bournemouth & Back Twice! (over 900mls), once a year, leaving the car for a few days for its annual Service & MOT and consider it well worth the effort on my part (National express takes 8 hrs each way !).
I am obviously Extremely Satisfied with both the initial purchase and subsequent service from such knowledgable, committed, and helpful people.
In fairness some of the communications have been a little lax but when it comes to Engineering Service give praise where it is due.
See you next year JMG
Clive Paddison

I've been buying parts from Declan for some time now for my 944. I never realized until now that you were actually related to Jon! I lost my mum to Cancer at the end of June. Actually bought the 944 to make the 200 mile round trip to visit her possible when I was knackerd. Now I don't need the car anymore. But I don't want to sell it. I know how you guys feel! All the best for the future & looking forward to fitting my new Helix Clutch! Thanks for the past service,
Kind Regards,
