Well I noticed some water under the boot carpet, iv replaced the hacth lock rubbers and unblocked the drain hoses. But today I found water in the inside conners off each lights. 

First I drain the water out using the spary gun from a spray bottle. Then poured water over the hacth with the carpet removed so I could see where's it getting in from. Looked to be the lights. So I removed the lights and found the spray shop hadn't sealed them back in. And in places had sprayed over the old sealent. So when I removed the old sealant 2 ensure a tighter fit I was left with bits of paint missing! I thouched these areas in with some paint. 

I removed both lights and covered the groves bit with sealent, replaced, still leaking so looks like are have 2 go a bit more heavier with the sealent tmw.

Also removed the lock for the pins and chacth pit which was also junked up. I think ( I did as well till now) that the hacth pin lock is neddle bearings and grease the insides. This gets washed though and blocks up the hoses. It's actually a platic/ rubber. I removed them cleaned them up and reinstolled 2 find that there persfic 2 each side. So I had 2 climb in the rear and take back apart. 

So any tips welcome.

You could reseal the lights with bathroom sealant as has been done before

PITA if you ever want to take them out again though. Did mine with strip caulk.

Bath room sealten, is what I used. As it was flexible and water tight. And can be as thick as 6-12mm. And black.

When you say chulk, do u mean the stuff painters and decorators use? But it's White?

Do u really have 2 go heavy with it till it's seen on the inside off the lights? Iv filled the indentated grove about 3 mm thick, and done them up tight, corrner 2 corrner 2 make sure it pulled in evenly.

did it on a hot day and warmed it with a hairdryer to soften it, put a strip round the whole lamp then pushed hard to refit. this time of year its getting a bit cold for these kind of jobs

In the past I've always used black gutter sealer, used on cars, horse boxes and anything else thats needed a good external water seal.
And if you have a poundland nearby you can buy a full sized mastic tube of the stuff for.... yes you guessed it... £1

Saying that, butyl seal is the suff to buy if you want to do it properly

I can now strongly recommend against bath room sealten !!!! It will do the job, but not if ur working out side, should off used something more rapid setting. Sealed both lights 4 2nd time, tested with a bucket off water. All good, cleaned up the paint work. Which was a pain as 2 get a possative seal I had 2 go quite heavy with the gear.

4 hours later it started raining, and evenly the sealent started 2 run out on 2 the paint work, and water started 2 find it's way in. Now I'm prob going 2 have 2 do it all again, plus now there's going 2 be more mess 2 clean up b4 I start. I could TTY and seal from the index but I dint no if this will create a mositet trap and result in rust?

I used a tube of liquid gasket stuff from Alfrauds on a Mondeo. It's black, but can be a bit messy once on your hands.... no leaks tho'.

I saw this, claims 2 set in 15 mins.

Well iv covered the lights up with a micro cloth in the end 2 try and keep the water off. Still a lot off cleaning up, with a credit card and tissues and cloths. But it seems water tight now. But the sealten feels wet, bit like a bubble. Hopefully will set as it drys out.

Or you could get the oem sealant. I did a shearch on the Porsche and they had nothing under lights or gaskets, but im sure the rear light clusters have came down in price? Now 140 per side thought they were 200 b4 like the turbo fog/ driving lights( I MIT be mistaken , not like them 2 lower prices )

Found some stuff on eBay which claims 2 be geuniue Porsche stuff. Sounds much like the culke stuff mention.

Once again. Don't recommend bathroom sealten if it's got 2 cure outside.. Don't take this as a blame thing, I was going 2 use it anyway. Gaskit sealten would off been better looking back.
