 Post subject: driveshaft/UJ query - new noise

HI

The o/s rear of my 944 has begun to knock/click under acceleration.
Its not all the time and only happens under power - i.e. coasting in gear or decelerating there is no noise - am I right to think about a worn UJ joint and/or worn driveshaft?

Thanks for the reply - I think I will probably need one. Whilst i check, can you advise/pm me on a price (and would this be the full driveshaft (incl. UJs?))

Just an update - I removed the driveshaft this afternoon - to find the cv joints almost dry. I repacked them and reversed the shaft and reinstalled it. So far - the shaft is now quiet! Result!
