Glad you've seen the light. If your car wasn't so mint it wouldn't be a problem. You could do the 911 thing & then rescue another sad '44. But the number of cars like yours is so small you probably would never get another as good! It costs far more than the cars are worth to sort them out. I'm doing it with mine because I'm nuts. But I should just have looked for a better one in the first place. In a few years I think it will be worth more. Can't be worth less thats for sure. :)

That's Mike Holmes's 944. (The one that's in the Coventry Museum Pic's.) This truely is a great condition 944. I'd buy it if I had the cash.

It looks like he's thinking of getting a 911.

Oh Mike - you nearly came so close to selling and i have only just seen the thread!!! Sale or no sale, you will never ever be able to bleat about VW aircooled Porsches again.

You know you want one......which means i will always remind you of this when you take the P*ss!!!!

I am glad you are keeping the car though....like you I would have both any day of the week.

Hi Mike - yes i am fine. Work is an absolute sod at the moment and has been for a while - which means getting to club nights is (and has been) damn tricky. However i am going to make big efforts to get back very soon - well end of March to be precise.

I've now recorded 12 reg numbers including the above one, so I think that that Porsche quote of only 8 built is a little short of the mark.
