I used to have a Granada Mk2 V6, massive pancake air filter in the middle. Yup sooner or later a spanner/socket/bolt gets left there the bonnet gets slammed & a nice pimply dent in the middle of a massive flat bonnet!
A SMART repairer should be able to sort it.
