Got a few scares over the weekend as the big red ! in the middle of the dash lit up.

Seems that the micro switch under the handbrake is not fully depressing when i put the handbrake down.

Is this alignment and setting up, or is it best to replace the switch altogether?

Hi Rav

Easy enough to investigate and adjust. It can only be on or off! I had to sort my own a while back, straight forward stuff.

Rav,
Probably the easiest switch to play with. There might be something stuck under where the plastic plunger goes so it doesn't drop properly or it might be electrical and the wires atre making a poor contact.
Pull the carpet up under the hand brake and give it all a good clean.
Mine's the opposite and the plunger stays down so the light only comes on if I poke it. Metsal needs a bit of bending that's all.

Cleaning the contacts with sand paper fixed mine,
