Hi
I'm restroing a 1989 2.7 944 and have just got it running after 5 years lay up.
Can anyone advise if the blower fan should run all the time - even when the ignition key is turned fully off and the dash switch at '0' mark?
Also - I have the led door pulls (the porsche alarm system?) -can anyone explain to me how this should work?

Many thanks

Ian

Hi & Welcome

The blower fan runs all the time the ignition is on even at pos. 0, but should switch off with the ignition.
The flashing door buttons sounds like the Hamilton Palmer system, I'm sure some one can explain, but what do you want to know about it?

Thanks for the reply - as the car stood for so long, I am very uncertain what should be 'normal' operation for the car for some of the accessories.

E.g. the led in the door pulls - are they lit all the time? How is the alarm set? disarmed?
The electric roof - the button on the centre console does not seem to do anything in any position (ignition on or off) - which I guess it should...?

As I had to strip out a faulty immobiliser I may also have missed a snipped wre here or there too...

Cheers
Ian
