 Post subject: loss of power when accelerating 944

can any one help i have just bought my first porsche a 1983 2.5l 944 when i accelerate i have loss of power and hesitation in every gear

Firstly Hi & Welcome to TIPEC.net :wave:

Firstly it will need a damn good service. The 944 is very sensitive to ignition specifically plugs, rotor arm, dizzy & leads.
Check the air & oil & fuel filter as these get ignored.
After this see how it runs & come back if it is not fixed.

it has a slight leak from the tank so i am going to replace the fuel tank and will give it a really good service and will get back to you many thanks for you quick responce

:D happy days changed spark plugs , fuel filter , air filter , oil filter , oil and the accelerating issue has got 95% still very very slightly flat but very happy just got to get to the bottom of a wet carpet behind drivers seat now many thanks
