Hi everyone, in the grand scheme of things this really is a cack question but your opinion is important to me so I'll ask anyway.
Do you think it would be tacky to fill in the PORSCHE logo in white on the rear spoiler of my 944S? Bear in mind that the car is alpine white. I ask this because every time I wash it and it fills with suds I think it looks cool, but the last thing I want is for it to look cheap and nasty!
I will do or not do based on your votes so if you could please take the time to just give me your opinion I would be extremely grateful.
Thanks very much in advance. :D
Andy Bruce.

Very. Ive seen it done to many cars over the last 20yrs and it hasnt ever looked smart. Usually it looks a mess and usually the cars arent a deal better.

Yours might be the first of course.....

Not too sure TBH the jury (mine) is still out! Rick at Highgate House does a kit to do this in a variety of colours. I think it is reflective. Try http://www.highgatehouse.co.uk/

Rick gave me a white set when he first made them so he could take pics for his website. I thought they were a bit too noticeable in white, and they really glow in this picture taken with a flash:

He now makes them in red, blue and black as well and I feel they work better if they match the colour of the car

I silver coloured my letters but over time i felt that they look better as standard so that is what i have done.I think it looks a little tacky coloured.

Hi,

I would like to get mine infilled in red. I actually tried to develop this earlier in the year after I saw something similar on a 944 at a show.

I went outside with a sheet of A4 and a wax crayon. I overlaid the A4 paper over the logo on the spoiler and did a wax rubbing of the logo. I then scanned this into my PC and tidied up the image using Photoshop. I had some waterproof adhesive vinyl sticker material and printed up the logo. Unfortunately, I couldn't get the vinyl sticker to adhere onto the spoiler logo. I need to look for another stronger form of adhesive on a vinyl material. My plan was if I could perfect the stickers I was going to sell them on eBay in a range of colours.

Sadly, I've ran out of time at the moment but maybe I could look into it again over the winter months.

Ben :bounce:

Whats the point of Black Ones when the spoiler is black

Keep it as it should be, its 20 years old and will look better if left alone, leave the stickers to the Saxo boys and girls "mainly girls"
