Hi all,I garaged my 944s2 a couple of years ago whilst working overseas with a "scab" on the drivers side sill,have recently had the chance to dig a bit to survey the damage (havent checked the passenger side yet though) and its much worse than I thought,possibly a full replacement,a friend had his done at a cost of £1600 (for both sides),I am located in the north-west,any advice/recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Mine were done around 2 years ago & cost around 1400 or so, this was in the SE not the NW.

Thanks for posting the pictures, I had always been under the impression Porsches dont rot! but having looked at a few recently how wrong I was. I can also tell you welding one is not like welding anything British, spent many hours welding MGs- that rotted really fast!( worked at a specialist) On the 944 the metal is covered in rubber protection on the outside and then galv,which must be removed, and makes welding most unpleasant. To repair an MGB its around £1600 for both sides for a full sill kit , front wing off and paint etc.
