Hi

Ive been looking on the net for a Glass Sunroof Panel to replace the original factory metal one, Ive noticed more in America called the Saratoga Glass Sunroof.

Is anyone aware of where I could buy one of these glass replacements?

Saratoga went bankrupt a while back.

Genuine Sartoga tops sell for big bucks now in the states - after shipping and taxes, this puts them at well out of my budget anyway.

I was looking at getting one for my 968 sport (when i had it) but decided that the cost far outweighed the benefit. Plus looking at a grey and raining sky would put me off driving.

A company in the states is making them again , but last i read was that it took punters money but no HW had turned up.

You can search for it on Rennlist or Pelican.

One of my guys has one but they go for $700+ & the shipping is horrendous because of the weight!
If you really want one they do come up on US E Bay but be prepared to dig deep.

They really are like hen’s teeth. Only ever sold in the US, and not in big numbers.

There’s a few variations in the Saratoga Top range: They made versions for manual and powered sunroofs (different hardware), versions in grey and bronze tinted glass, and versions with and without a metal surround.

The bronze ones are most common, by far.

They’ve actually been rising in price of late and the going rate now seems to be more like a thousand dollars. Shipping from most part of the US seems to come in at around $300 on top of that.

I’ve been offered a couple this year, but with the current exchange rates it’s too hard a purchase to justify … I could get another 40 horsepower instead for that sort of money.

I may be wrong, but I don't think that is a Saratoga sunroof. I think it is just an ordinary aftermarket glass sunroof that someone has fitted to a non-sunroof car.

I agree with Simon. The one on e-bay looks like an ordinary after market glass sunroof. I would expect it originally had a surround or frame.
