On my 944 he clutch pedal seems far too high. The clutch works perfectly there just seems to be excessive movement to get to the point where it operates, I see from the drawings there are/is some sort of turnbuckle - can this be adjusted out - has someone put it together wrong or is it not bled properly/leaking?

Ah a new feature to day - the clutch pedal stuck to the floor and wanted some prompting to release. Have I a faulty master or slave cyclinder ? how can I determine which? I have seen master cylinder seals fail on some cars which don't give the game away by leaking.

Probably the slave cylinder: not too expensive, probably around £50 plus fitting.
