After just a few very short days back here...I have decided I can't sell it....so it's not for sale now.

Somehow I will have to find the dosh to get it back on the road without upsetting the missus! :P

Yep I will have to find a way to do this......it's probably all seized up having not been driven for near 3 years

My 944 has been sat since 2000, is only a year newer than your 924 and is now freed up and moving under its own steam again so after 3 years I'm sure yours will be fine. Just ask for a discount on WD40 if you buy in bulk ;)

My missus gave out about my car and even joked about me selling it.. I happened to mention that I have the car 9 years and that I knew her 4 years.. I told her "you do the maths who will be gone first"

You are not looking for her to be an enthusiast - just tolerant of the car.
We went to my wifes cousin in Co.Meath recently and took my 944. My wife really enjoyed the run up and down saying it was great on a journey, She wouldnt admit it but

An attack of common sense! :D It wouldn't sell you would have to give it away. Good luck getting it running again. Lots of help on here. I know were theres a couple in a local scrap yard. Cheap bits!
So are you changeing your user name to "924 Not for sale ever"

I am putting 2,500 quid to get it running and any bodywork that needs doing which is fairly minimal....a good few waxes will have it gleaming as it does get cleaned regularly anyway.

My big concern is the electrics as I am sure everything has eroded.corroded by now the mechanics should be fairly simple

The missus is getting a Jeep Commander so she will be happy, and I am selling the CUBE and keeping the Challenger as I love that car
