Hi All,

Is there such a thing as a number plate holder for the front of a 944 S2? My number plate is currently stuck on with double sided tape but its starting to come off on one side. I've temporarily stuck it back on with some double sided foam tape but was wondering if there was a more permanent solution?

Regards,

Ben :bounce:

Mine are stuck on too. But it won't last! Best way is to drill the plates & bolt them on the old way. They won't come off guaranteed Bit of a faf to do but once done thats it until you need new plates.

I've got a couple of "Porsche AG Stuttgart" number plate holders that I bought at a car show a few years back. They screw onto the car and plates clip in.

Screwed on number plates look awful. If you buy the number plate mount stickers from Halfords (choose the thicker ones) and follow the instructions, i.e. use a hairdryer to heat them up etc etc, then they will stick on and never come off. Make sure you clean all the old stuff off first. If it's sticky residue on your bumper or the back of the number plate then spray it with WD40 and rub it off with a towel. I can hear you all laughing....... but it works.

This is a similar one two the ones I have on the 968, possibly even from the same VW parts outfit;
