My thoughts entirely, a Chavalier coupe

Unfortunately one 944 has already gone because of scrappage according to PistonHeads

There was a Calibra at a local show (Fins and Chrome) that had been cut in half and made into a trailer.
It found its true vocation....

I've had a thought of a similar concept using a front end write off 944 Cab - bear with me on this one. The idea is, you use the back end of the Cab as it had a very nice flat boot. You cut it somewhere at the mid-point, fit the A-frame (somehow) and would then have to devise a method of somehow lowering the boot space and fiting a trailer axel of sorts. Obviously, all the fuel tank, gearbox etc would come out. Then spray to match car. Only problem is, has anyone ever fitted a tow bar onto a 944 S2??? Has anyone tryed this concept before???

Been involved with a few conversions, a mini van & a Mk1 Escort van. Not difficult to do, a 944 Coupe with the front chopped off, the screen & door & rear 1/4 windows panelled in steel & the hatch still there either in glass or glassfibre would be uber cool!
Yup varous people do towbars for 944s of all varients.

Seen a Karmann Ghia with a trailer that was the backend of another Karmann. Looked really cool and in keeping.

I think such a 944 conversion would be a dream.
However the driver of the tow car would have to remember to keep the speed down.
