944 main headlight problem

Correct! You'd need something capable of reading milliOhms accurately i'd suggest around 2-300 quid should do it!
Putting the wiring underload (putting the lights on) & measuring the voltage drop is easier.

Hi Paul,

I suspect the lever problem is probably it ! since any movement of the lever can cause the lights to go out even on dipped. Indicators on "main" causes the whole lot to go out, (not to flash as I would expect if the earth was the problem).

I'll take the lever off and have a look - do you remember if it come out easily ?
