Hi,

Had a guy on the phone a few nights ago looking for a good 944 Turbo for the Wheeler Dealer show that is on Sky. Do not to much information but is emailing me with more this week.
They have a 1986 944 in Grey. So looking for a car that is NOT Grey and somewhere around the Yorkshire region. The show is filmed in Halifax I believe. If you watch the show they like to have a finished car to look at. Not sure if they will be driving it but will ask that question later.
Please let me know asap with a few details and possibly a picture or two, please email me direct on john.oakes3@btinternet.com
I will post more information when I find out more.

Regards
John Oakes

Up date of details.

Attaboy TV are looking for a perfect example of a Porsche 944 Turbo, to feature in a brief sequence of their new series of Wheeler Dealers.

One of the cars featured on the programme this year will be a Porsche 944 Turbo, in Grey, circa 1987, so we're looking for a similar car, of roughly the same age (give or take a couple of years) and in perfect order, mechanical and cosmetic but not in Grey.

The sequence should last aproximately 1 minute and will take about half a day to film. We hope to start filming these sequences later in February.
We are based in Dean Clough in Halifax and would like to keep shooting as local as possible. We have been looking at locations between Harewood and Bolton Abbey.

Unfortunately, as we are working to a tight budget, we cannot offer any fee for this but we will cover any petrol expenses and provide a DVD copy of the programme - and whoever gets involved will get to see thier car on TV.

If you can help us to find such a car, we would be most grateful.
Thanks for your time.
Tim Peck

They’ve still not had any takers? Amazing. I know they got badmouthed a bit on the PCGB forum, but I’m still surprised.

If they’re desperate, I’d drive down to Yorkshire if they could film on a weekend. Obviously, that means their petrol costs etc would be pretty high for me driving from Glasgow. My car’s not 100% standard though, it has a few modifications. Might not be what they’re looking for.

very good mechanically.
i am a tipec club member

in the middle of a lot of work to the front and rear suspension - am pretty much finished adding kon's to the front. Was going to do suspension bushes to rear - precautionary as i'm taking it to the ring in the summer

can stop anytime soon (sounds like a drug habit) though

wheeler dealers with mike and big edd china is my favourite show!! i love it

live in teesside next to A19

body work is pretty good, though not perfect- I'm sure the car they get isn't 'a million miles away' from mine (you have to say it with a cheeky chappy mike brewer voice)

Hi Tony,

Thanks for reply, I thought that I would have quite a few people interested in this. I have spoke to Mark below and seeing someone in Huddersfield on Friday but thanks for the offer. A pity you did not live near to us.

Regards

John
