Are the drains clear on the hatch latches? They tend to fill the tubes with cr.. dirt & then back up. I've had the tail gate hang up in winter because the seal has frozen to the hatch.

When you say the oil gauge goes to max, it will have a lot higher oil pressure when it's cold, does it behave once warm.

Are the boot latch pins set up correctly?

It has been very cold of late, Running 5/40 to help it turn over in the morning but it's still like glue first thing. (When I had Shell helix in it. It came out everywhere & would hardly turn over.) Once warm ticks over at 3 to 4 bar. (If you believe the gauges.) My car lives out in the cold.
My RH hatch drain fell off recently. Noticed when the foglight filled with water & fused.

Got the boot sorted now but the guage goes straight to max as soon as it starts and stops there hot or cold

my driverside foglight used to fill with water until i heated a pin and made a tiny hole at the bottom of the lens, you can't see the hole and any water dribbles out

Hi Frog 44,

I had some trouble with my oil pressure back in Oct last year when it went straight to 5 bar on tick over and over 5 when driving.

I did a oil and fitted change plus I ran oil flush which may have cleared some crap in the engine as the oil was black once the flushing oil had been put in, the pressure now reads 5bar when driving and 3-3/4 on tick over but the engine has to be very hot.

Regarding your oil pressure. Have you removed the wires from the sender recently? As oil pressure stuck high is sometimes because the wires are on the wrong way round.
