Another project to do is change my 944 handles from my S2 to 968 handles. Anyone done the job

I believe it's quite straight forward but the handles are damned expensive!

It's an easy job but one thing you need to know before you purchase the 968 handels.The lock cylinder for the 968 handel is removable(not just the tumbler).1988 and later 944 cars use the same lock cylinder on early 944 models it is made into the handel and non-removable.You want to make sure you have access to the removable type lock cylinders because to buy them from Porsche is $$$$$$$.I have done this on both my 944s so if you have any question drop me a line!

The 968 handles are a direct fit replacement but ive Never heard about the barrels as i put 968 handles on my early car (83)and the barrels came straight out of the old handles and ive just put a replacement handle off a 1982 944 on one of my other cars and again the barrel was not fixed in !!
