Heated rr window queery

When I check the power to my heated rear window on the left hand side terminals,I have a reading, however when I do the same on the right hand,I have no readings.
Is this correct?I notice also that the wire on the left is thicker that the one on the right hand side.
Still trying to get my hrw working :cry:

One will be feed 12Volts the other earth so yes what you're seeing is OK.
If you have 12volts onone end & a good earth on the other it must work!

I have crimped the conections tighter on the screen and cleaned the contacts so will see this week if it works.
