Hi,

Looking for some advice im in the middle of rebuilding my engine, apart from the usual
measurement and inspection of the parts before assembly, is there any specific preparation
that must be done to the alusil block to allow the rings to break in as I understand the bores
are etched as opposed to honed.

There seems to be conflicting reports on the net, i am looking for someone with real world experience to advise.

Thanks

It really depends on the condition and dimensions of the bores. All being well I'd have the bores lapped by someone like Serdi.
