Hi,
My Turbo has developed a problem that has now got worse.
On my model, the boost gauge is supposed to reach 1 when the ignition is on but engine not running.
At times, the boost gauge does not register 1 with the ignition on and it then it does not start. This has got worse over time and it doesn't start more often than it does and a new problem, when it does start, after less than a minute, it cuts out.
I have tested the immobiliser and that seems to be working OK, unless I have tested it when it works and it has an intermittent problem that is getting worse, in which case I will remove it.
I have jumped the DME relay and that does not help the no starting problem. My relay is the new version, not an old original one.
Anyone have any ideas or pointers what it could be? I'm assuming that if the Gauge is not registering 1 when the ignition is on, that must point to something not working, but what? Could it be an air leak in the vacuum pipes causing a default error code in the boost, causing ignition not to work? DME not getting power? any advice how to check these? I have a feeling I may be stuck and immobilised..lol
Thanks
Kat
