 Post subject: headlight washer jets - daft question

My headlight washer jets don't seem to work. Are they supposed to squirt when ever the headlights are up and you wash the windscreen, or is there some sort of delay so they only work every 3 or 4 screen squirts ?
Also I am assuming mine are bust - any popular causes I can check out rapidly?

They do not work with the windscreen washers from memory. Try pushing your wiper stalk towards the front of the car ; they should work then :).

well I never would have tried that - just gone and tried pushing the wiper arm forward and voila - washer pump runs. No water coming out so hopefully just an easy plumbing job or just blocked jets. thank you.

I have the same problem, I'm yet to figure out what is causing it but it's down the bottom of the list of priorities with clutch and master cylinder right up the top.
