hi yes that s right , 1982 1.6 .
so the s2 is just a bit of a change .I also had an oak green mk2 which i sold after buying the porsche .

Nice, my first car was a Mk1 Golf, its one car I would change my 944S for :shock:

I had a Lhasa Green MK 1 gti Golf

Loved that car !!

Incidentally, if any of you Golf owners want/need an original yard back Haynes manual I have one. Never been opened ....

Thanks guys for your comments .I t has needed a few things fixed ,driver seat side bolster repaired ,clock fixed, new exhaust trim .These have all been done but need to leave it to the body shop in the new year to get few wee bits and pieces tweaked .

well this week I was happy to get new belts fitted and tensioner guides and chain renewed , the plastic guide had only a slight amount of wear ,but better replaced , last one was replaced 1999. So hopefully get some miles done soon .
