.... and it was my Mrs.

Honestly, when I told her that I'd parked the van close to the car (because we have an asshat neighbour who moans if we're a micron over the boundary line) that she'd need to get in via the passenger door, I'd imagined she'd take that into account when leaving the driveway. Well, no. She didn't, and instead just drove out and dragged the tail of the T5 down the flank of my 944.

It's not deep, but it's properly rippled and will take some work to get it right as there's the counterweight behind it.

I wasn't too pleased as you might imagine, especially as when we were 'discussing' the incident, there was more than a hint of the suggestion that it wouldn't have happened if I'd not parked too close in the first place. She couldn't quite understand my logic that if I could get it in without scratching it (and leaving around 8 inches between them too) then she should have been able to likewise get it out unscathed. Again, she couldn't quite understand why I didn't accept her defence of it being an 'accident' and she got a little p!ssed off when I explained to her that accidents are the result of fate rather than plain old carelessness...

It is also our wedding anniversary today.

She probably feels shit so don't rub it in. I've always found it's best to keep your trap shut , but then I do have a look that can reduce someone to a greasy stain at 50 paces.

The 'rubbing in' phase lasted about 20 minutes.

However, so far she has sat - uncomplainingly - through the rugby... Unprecedented!

At this rate I might even get lucky tonight.

Greggers if you keep on telling your missus it is 6 - 8 inches long, no wonder she got so close to the van

Never go to war with the missus

She holds all the power.

They are cats and we are dogs

Shame about the car though.
I still look at my once lovely marble and onyx chess set that my wife broke........by accident :(

Just got bollocked for using the "best " kitchen roll to clean my brake discs and that after I'd refitted the normal passenger seat 'cos she got stuck in the Recaro.
Might have muttered generously proportioned bovine or words to that effect.
