My passenger power window has stopped working after door removal and strip. The motor tested fine but neither the switch on the passenger door or the drivers door will run the motor. Is there a fuse for the motor on that door? I cant find any references to the door motors or what fuses they might be on in my Haynes manual. Ive had a look at the fuses and it doesnt look like any have blown. Any ideas?

Tom

no the fuse is for both windows, check the switches to make sure the contacts are clean and unburnt, also make sure there is a good ground on the window motor or door.

Not sure about that I think it differs old to newer cars (pre/post oval dash)
Commomn failure point is the switches & the wiring as it exits the pillar to go to the door.

Ive had a problem with my passenger window for some time and I thought I needed a new switch so I bought one at Gaydon, fitted it and just the same, press press press press and eventually it will work, but I noticed that if I take the actual switch out of the frame it sits in it works every time, therefore it must be a bad connection on the switch,so I need to clean it up with some emery paper or something and it should be better.Havent got round to that yet but Im sure thats where the problem lies.Yet another job to do! :(

My passenger window sometimes fails, normally when its down and raining!! To get it to work i undo the switch from the passenger door and pull on the wire and its starts working again. so it could just be a loose wire/connection like mine.
