Hi guys,

I developed a power steering fluid leak yesterday with fluid dripping out of the bottom of the front wing in front of the wheel.
Having stripped out the inner wing and lower plastic front panel, I found the power steering cooling coil/return line badly corroded and now leaking very badly.
I believe the part number is 944-347-459-03.
Can I ask if anyone has a serviceable used one which I could buy or can direct me to where I could get one (new would be considered if not too expensive!!)?
I shall have a scout round on-line tonight too.

Thanks in anticipation,

Bob Ward

the one i have is a good spare, not leaking, the recon one is on my cab, it may be worth contacting western power steering if you want a recon one, for peace of mind. i have had great service from them in the past.

Hi Stu,

Can I ask if you wanted to sell your spare cooling coil and, if so, how much would you take for it?
I shall contact Western tomorrow and sound them out about my existing failed unit.

Cheers,

Bob

Hi Stu,
I managed to wrestle my old coil out of the car today, fighting with every nut; bolt and jubilee clip so I am ready to put a replacement in.
Attached is a photo of the removed coil to see if yours matches.
Price wise, Stu, I would guess/offer £25 + postage - new price is around £100 I think.
How does that sound to you???
Regards,
Bob

Hi white 944,
I hadn't considered bypassing the coil because I was looking at track days and maybe taking the car touring abroad.
Cheers
Bob
