Hi All,

Looking for a 944 Turbo to replace my 1986 Lux. Keen on authentic condition and prefer fabric seats.

But more importantly keen on good running condition, although if some known work required happy to balance cost of repair/refurbishment with cost of the car.

I love heated seats and cruise control and sunroof and I don't mind high mileage if engine is good.

Please let me know if you have a 944 Turbo hidden away that is surplus to requirements.

Hi Scott,

I went to see yesterday but it was sold when I got there, it was only 20 miles from home.

Budget fits my requirements, so happy to pay more as it fits me needs but reliable, safe and original is the importance

But £10k would be ok for a good 944 Turbo

Ahh that's harsh. nearly four years ago I bought mine and travelled far and wide looking for a good one. Back then I budgeted 6k for a car and nothing I saw was worth it, one night one appeared on e bay a few miles from where I was going to view the next car. This new car was half the price and looked awful in the pictures but it turned out to be better than everything else I had seen

I shall also say (but you seem to know this) that I would not get held up on mileage, especially if you plan to drive the car and keep it for some time. A chap I know bought another Turbo over mine because of the mileage (with that owner speaking of how low mileage is key) only for it to blow up on him shortly after.

Mine is still a daily to the bloke I sold it to with him doing weekly commutes to Wales and back to the 'Shire (I would not want his petrol bills but at least he's having fun!). I guess that is unfair that comparison but IMO maintenance stands for alot, something which receipts and 'reading' a car (i.e looking at fuel pipes, tyres, suspension, that kind of thing) can give away. I bought my car on 170k and with the way the owner is driving it I reckon it must be heading towards 185k if not higher.
