This kind of post normally needs a photo but I hope it's self explanatory. I've been trying to service the lights on the 944, I've put night breakers in (£12 Amazon) , cleaned earth and lenses. But the left hand light it's slightly left. Inn the closed position the gap nearest the badge is 3/4 inch and the gap on the right is much smaller. I've undone the little triangle adjusters on both sides but they don't help. It fits flush and straight, it just wants to go all to the right... amy ideas?
Btw, the earth on one light was easy to get at, haven't found the other one yet!

So I assume you want to move the light towards the badge panel :) hard to tell from the description

If so there are 2 ways to do this as far as I know, easy way and hard way :D guess which one I did

So easy way first, porsche sell triangular spaces I would guess you may have them installed under the triangular bracket on the badge panel, buy one .....then undo the the 3 bolts under the wing that screw into the triangular bracket on the wing side ...once loose you can pop a spacer between the wing and bracket job done.

Hard way
Remove the light cluster the headlamp bracket has a plastic end cap that can wear, inside this cap is a washer, replace the cap or add an extra washer to move the pod over

Done both of these and they worked well :D

Brilliant thanks. I'll try the easy way. :-) the nuts in the wing are a swine! Will try and track the spacers down. Btw you're dead right, I just wanted to move the light toward the badge :-)
Cheers.

Kingston right. Triangle spacer is easier but you could shim it out with normal washers bit more tricky as you need to take bolt all way out.

Thanks both, Will try the washer thing but cut a slot in the washer so I don't need to take bolts right out.they are very awkward to get to....

The proper spacers are about 0.78p from Porsche :D

I think I have some I'll post them out if you wish :D

Or you can remove the one on the badge panel side and just relocate it to the wing side.....

DO IT RIGHT.......DO IT ONCE

I had this problem. Unbolt the triangle things and you will find that they have spacers on the shafts where they go inside the lights. Mine had two on one side of the lamp and none on the other. Put one either side and job done. Easy job and free.

Thanks for the advice. I have emailed Porsche but not heard back yet. There isn't a spare spacer on the badge side, looks like they have been commissioned to the passenger side. I have undone the bar both ends once so think I have the right bendy arm movement to do it again :-)
If you have a couple of spares that would be lovely. I want to get the lights just right :-)
Thanks
Alex
