Hi, can anyone tell me if the fuel rail spacer washers on the S2 are needed ? I can bolt my fuel rail down without them and i can see they could easily slip into a bore if not carefull. Thanks

I put mine on,but for some reason i had different sized ones from two different engines.
I used the smaller ones.
I guess without them, the injectors might sit too far into the manifold and cause airflow disruption or even damage to the injector by having air blasted at them?

Thanks for the response. It just seems strange Porsche did not make the rail supports 5mm longer and do away with these washers as though they were an after thought maybe for a different length injector.
