Does anyone know what glue is best for fitting a new sunroof seal?

I'm talking about the seal on the sunroof panel itself as opposed to the seal on the roof. I thought it was glued on. although I haven't removed my old one yet.

Vasline can take a few times to get seated so it's water tight. There's metal spine in both this gives the grip

No glue is used on the sunroof panel seal. Do not use Vaseline on rubber seals. It dries and perishes them prematurely.
